Kent Ray joined Saint Anthony Hospital in December 2025, bringing many years of diverse legal experience in both the private and public sectors. As General Counsel, Mr. Kent serves as the hospital’s chief legal advisor, providing strategic counsel to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on legal, regulatory, governance, and risk-related matters, as well as oversight on contracts, compliance, employment matters, litigation, and legal issues that impact the hospital’s operations and long-term priorities.
Prior to joining Saint Anthony Hospital, Mr. Ray spent a number of years as an attorney with the Chicago Transit Authority. He also served as counsel in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Civil Actions Bureau where he provided legal advice to Cook County and its officers and officials, ultimately serving as Acting Bureau Chief, and worked as the Associate General Counsel for the Cook County Health and Hospitals System.
Mr. Ray received his B.A. from Indiana University and his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.
