The Sports Medicine Program at Saint Anthony Hospital brings together a variety of medical specialties.

Our Sports Medicine team consists of primary care, pediatrics, sports medicine, orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons and a full complement of physical therapists who provide the best in conservative and surgical treatments for muscle, bone, and joint problems, including sports-related or workplace injuries, concussion and cardiac screenings and physicals. We can successfully treat a long list of surgical and non-surgical problems, like:

  • Tennis elbow
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Concussions
  • Heel injuries
  • Lower back problems
  • Knee pain and knee injuries
  • Stress fractures
  • Muscle injuries.

Our Sports Medicine physicians begin by using non-surgical methods to treat spine, shoulder, hip, knee and foot problems. Procedures and services in our Sports Medicine Program include:

  • EKGs
  • Echocardiograms
  • Physicals
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Post-injury visits and treatment
  • Rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries
  • X-ray, MRI and CT scans
  • Casting and splinting
  • Taping and strapping
  • Injection and arthrocentesis
  • Durable medical equipment
  • Event medical coverage
  • Educational programs for coaches on injury prevention training techniques.

Whether you come to us after an accident, injury, illness or surgery, our role in the recovery process is to help you to regain strength and relieve pain so you can return to your daily routine and recreational activities.
